Studying may be enjoyable once you set your mindset to view study as a rewarding activity. Here, Hui Yunn suggested 6 positive mindset which she worked on to make her study session feels less torture.

1. It’s alright to dislike the subject, but never hate it!

Ever feel sleepy or bored in a class? Or you just simply dislike the teacher of the subject? Try at least not to hate the subject!
If you have the strong emotion of hating one subject, you’ll most probably ended up running away from it. Instead of pushing it away every time you heard it, try to calm your feelings. Those subjects are not that complicated as you thought to be.

2. Let your curiosity take the lead!

Did you ever curious about something but couldn’t muster your courage to ask because you think it is a stupid question? Stop thinking so! Feed your curiosity either by asking or searching on the internet. With the advance of technology, just simply type out your questions on any search engine, and you’ll find answers for them. Ask as many questions as you like or note down all the weird questions then have a search on the Internet. You’ll definitely discover something interesting!

3. A Problem is a Chance for You to Learn!

Don’t be afraid of trouble, and never run away from it. You can run away from one, but not the other one. Same goes to your homework and exams. Take every question as an opportunity to learn. Making mistake is not a big deal, but repeating the mistake is! So do practice until you get no mistake. Understand why you did it the wrong way and remember the correct way.

4. There’s Always Something New That You Wouldn’t Know

It is impossible to know each and every thing in this world. Always keep an attitude to be ready to learn! It is embarrassing only if you pretend to know things that you actually don’t, but it is never embarrassing to admit not knowing something. Learning is a long journey, that’s why there’s saying goes "live until old, learn until old."

5. There’s No Ending, Just A New Beginning.

Telling yourself that you can’t do it, is just an excuse to run away. Imagine failure as falling down and ask yourself: “am I going to live the rest of my life on the floor?” if you have 1% feeling of “no”, stand up! Give yourself more time to overcome the problem, you have a new day to keep things going.

6. Rome Wasn’t Built in A Day

Success does not happen overnight. You must work hard over a period of time to achieve success. Train yourself not to expect instant results.
It is always shown in dramas and movies that it took pain, difficulty and most important – efforts, to make things happen. Don’t compare yourself with others. Everyone come from a different background, different story, and of course everyone have different timeline. Work hard and focus on your own pace.
Never give up!
